“What you know is what you are making of it”: regulations in agricultural practices of the North of Russia in the late 19th — early 21st century

The author’s attention is focused on the ways of regulation (rules, regulations, guidelines) for agricultural practices, predominantly olericulture, from the standpoint of preservation and transmission of knowledge in the collective memory and ritual designing the future. Ways of “knowledge” transmission, principles of projective patterns creation and marking of vegetables, the norms and rules for regulating in exchanges and acquisitions of planting material, and gender role are being examined.
