In the article the wedding ceremonial poetry of Yakuts (algys) in a context of familyhousehold folklore is considered. Materials and publications on wedding algys are analysed, their composition structure and functional value are revealed. Semantic parts of algys, traditional beliefs of Yakuts reflected in wedding algys are studied.
