Russian folklore in Chinese: The experience of field research in the Three Rivers region

The article is based on the fieldwork data materials collected by the authors. It is considering the existence issue of Russian folklore in Chinese language among the descendants of Sino-Russian marriages who are currently living in the so-called Three Rivers Region, while they have almost lost their Russian language skills. It is stressed that the middle generation of Russian minority in China, who live in the Three Rivers Region and speak Chinese, have saved the prosaic folklore which is related to the mythological stories genre.
