The Prohibitions and Prescriptions Connected with Keeping and Using of Hand-Written Notebooks (on the materials of Vladimir region)

The paper deals with traditional prohibitions and prescriptions regulating the usage of hand-written collections of texts of the religious and magic content as well as the usage of songbooks. Some norms and rules of calendar character as well as prescriptions connected with age, social and physiological status of a person are treated. The conclusion is that the norming rules for treating hand-written writing-books have emerged during late XIXth — early XXth centuries and are still in active usage though in partially transformed state.
