Yule traditions of Siberian Ukrainians

On the basis of ethnographic materials collected in areas densely populated by Ukrainians in the Omsk region and the Altai region the author reconstructs the Christmas rituals and customs that existed in the Siberian Ukrainians until the middle of the twentieth century. We consider the semantics of ritual action compared with the preservation of the traditions of immigrants from different provinces of pre-revolutionary Russia.
