The Wedding Rites of the Van Kirgiz (based on the field work carried out in the village Ulupamir on 9—16 June 2012)

This article acquaints with the history of Van Kirgiz ethnic group, with general information about the village of Ulupamir where they live today. The author describes the basic steps for creating Van Kirgiz family. The relevance of the study is in description of the wedding rites present situation because the integration of the community and Turkish society is taking place, and this process also affects the traditional social structure.
