This article discusses the materials from the appendix of a manuscript of Igor Ivanovich Timofeev, collector and scholar of the Russian wedding ritual. In the period from 1993 to 1999, he collected historical and folklore-ethnographic materials on the structure and vocabulary of the wedding ceremony in the village of Kundravy and other settlements of the Chebarkul district of the Chelyabinsk region. The materials Timofeev collected are of special scholarly interest in the context of the study of the regional and local peculiarities of ritual culture. The folklore and ethnography of the Chebarkul district is poorly studied, which makes his work especially valuable. The article describes the structure of his manuscript’s appendix and its sections, giving a brief analysis of the expedition materials and presenting the main characteristics of the Chebarkul district wedding ceremony. The folkloric and ethnographic materials concerning the wedding ceremony that Timofeev collected on expeditions in the Chebarkul district help fill the gap in our knowledge of the ritual culture of the Southern Urals.
