The paper is made with support of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, project No. 16-04-00382 “Scientific heritage of D. N. Medrish”.
The article deals with the scientific heritage of D. N. Medrish, one of the largest Russian researchers of literature folklore poetics. We determine relevance of theoretical ideas and methodological approaches of the scientist to the study the problems of literature folklore in modern philological science.
