The role of folk speech samples in studying local identity of Winter Coast residents

The article raises a problem of folk speech homogeneity of local groups (on the example of the inhabitants of the White Sea Winter Coast village (the Arkhangelsk Region). The author considers the peculiarities of functioning of local groups nicknames, proverbs and sayings about members of certain local groups which may act either as endonyms (such proverbs, sayings and nicknames are a proof of highly-developed self-consciousness of a certain local group) or ekzonyms. The peculiarities of folk speech practice act as markers of relationship existing between certain local groups.
