Ritual practices in the Siberian Islam: Elites, Books, and Dreams

The cult of the Saints in Siberian Islam is discussed in the present article. The aspects of the spiritual elite formation, strengthening the role of women in the cult functioning, the significance of sacred books and scrolls as the holy artifacts, the role of initiation dreams in receiving the gift of the holy tombs inspectors are examined.
