The article was written with the financial support of grant No. 22–28–01395 awarded by the Russian Science Foundation.
This article examines the activities of experimental websites and workshops as one aspect of the youth folklore movement. There has been a decrease in interest in folklore among young people and the author emphasizes the importance of familiarizing children with traditional folklore culture at an early age. She analyzes the experience of online experimental workshops in several regions of Russia and gives a detailed analysis of the pedagogical workshop “Project Activities of Young Schoolchildren in the Area of Information and Communication Technologies…” This workshop was organized in 2018 by specialists from the Center for Primary Education of the “Prosveshchenie” Publishing House in the Republic of Mari El. The article discusses the theoretical and methodological foundations of the workshop’s activities, particularly its application of the general philosophical principle of “unity in diversity” in the process of designing the project. The author proposes a particular sequence of implementing this principle in work on various folklore genres. The author encourages using modern information and communication technologies in projects aimed at elementary school students and describes several projects in this regard. According to the author, the results of online pedagogical workshops may help create a model for the promotion of the intangible cultural heritage of the peoples of Russia. This model might be applied in any Russian region with appropriate adjustments, taking into account the socio-cultural specifics of the area and based on the fruitful principle of “unity in diversity.”
