The article deals with non-indi genous folk and ethnographic context in the light of the Patriotic War of 1812 in the works of Russian writers of the XIX century — D. Davidov, K. Ba - tyushkov, F. Glinka, A. Rayevskiy. We investigate the aspects of the Bashkir poe tics in the folk songs by P. Kudryashov and T. Belyaev about the war in 1812.
