Names of the Characters in Russian Fairy Tales about the Abduction of Women: the Influence of Cheap Popular Tradition

The article examines the impact of cheap popular folk tales on the oral versions. On the example of the Russian fairy tales about the abduction of women we traced the impact of book tradition of 18th — 19th centuries manifested in the use of characters’ names.
