The article presents the comparative analysis of laudatory motives of Ukrainian and Belorussian christening poetry, connected with midwife, woman in labor, her husband and newborn baby. The structural typological method of study enabled to specify common features and national particularies of Ukrainian and Belorussian christening songs.
