Creative fraternity of N. Plevitskaya and V. Andreev: folk song on stage

The present article is about one of the original figures of the Russian variety art of the early 20th century Nadezhda Plevitskaya. The nature of the creative interaction between the singer and Russian balalaika orchestras and balalaika players, first of all with V. Andreev is the subject of the article. N. Plevitskaya and V. Andreev were artists who created the bright, original era in the concert life of Russia. Creative union of two artists promoted the establishment of the genre “pop folk song” and the formation of its special self-sufficient performance style.
